Job Opportunity: Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Location: Slough (with occasional travel to other offices)
Position Overview: A prestigious legal firm is seeking a Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor to deliver outstanding service to private clients in clinical negligence cases. This role is crucial in supporting the firm's business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Case Management: Independently manage a caseload of moderate to high-value clinical negligence claims on behalf of claimants, ensuring adherence to procedural and funding guidelines.
* Collaboration: Provide support to partners and senior solicitors on complex and high-value matters, always prioritizing clients' best interests.
* Medical Knowledge: Understand and investigate medical issues relevant to clinical negligence claims, effectively applying legal principles.
* Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of case files, including work in progress, disbursements, and billing, while striving to meet or exceed profitability targets.
* Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with external regulatory standards and maintain high quality in all work outputs.
* Additional Duties: Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications:
* Legal Credentials: Must hold a valid, clean Practicing Certificate with no restrictions on practice.
* Experience: 1-5 years of post-admission experience in claimant clinical negligence matters.
* Academic Background: Strong academic track record.
* Litigation Exposure: Prior experience in litigation is essential.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to exercise initiative and demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities.
* Client Empathy: Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality in all client matters.

* Trade Union Experience: Previous involvement in trade union work is advantageous.
* Digital Dictation Skills: Familiarity with digital dictation software (BigHand) is a plus; training will be provided.
Working Hours: This position entails a standard workweek of 35 hours, from Monday to Friday.
