Job Description
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting tasks, such as posting supplier invoices, making supplier payments and posting month end journals.
Key Job Responsibilities
· Posting purchase invoices
· Dealing with supplier’s queries on an as needs basis
· Reconciling supplier statements
· Posting month end journals
· Cash book postings and bank reconciliation
Requirements
Knowledge
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge and understanding of the importance of month end and year end
Skills
· High level of numeracy
· Organisational skills
· Good communication skills both written and verbal
· Ability to generate good working relationships with wider finance team members working in other locations
Experience
· Previous experience working in a finance role
· Prior experience of computerised accounting packages
Desirable
· Experience within the marine sector
· Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision
