We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to the development and enhancement of our transport management applications.
Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
* Develop application code using core software engineering languages such as C#, C++, or Java, with knowledge of basic object-oriented concepts and SQL.
* Liaise effectively with other team members across the company to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
* Investigate and resolve support problems efficiently, providing implementation and post-implementation support as required.
* Test functional enhancements or configuration changes prior to release, ensuring high-quality output.
* Analyse, assess, and advise on the impact of change requests, providing valuable insights to drive business growth.
* Produce relevant documentation to support software engineering, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
* Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
* A first or upper second-class honors degree in Computer Science or any numerate subject, with programming skills and knowledge of basic OO concepts and SQL.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret and relay technical information clearly and concisely.
* A positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team, and confident in using your own initiative.
* An investigative mindset that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for ongoing incidents.
* Organised and flexible, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £27,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits outlined above.
