Description Early Years Business and Workforce Development Officer SO2, starting salary, £41,580 per annum, incl LW Secondment / Fixed Term: 12 months Hybrid Working / Full Time / 35hrs The Early Years Business and Workforce Development team is a part of the Lambeth Education and Learning Service. They are committed to working with their partners to ensure sufficiency, sustainability and efficiency of nursery places and the disbursement of the Early Years Funding Entitlements for children aged 9 months to 4 year olds in the borough. We are seeking an Early Years Business and Workforce Development Officer to help us achieve this. We are a small team so we’re looking for a candidate who is excited by a challenge and will proactively get involved in all aspects of the work providing support as required. You will have previous experience in the range of early years education funding, and knowledge of the rules in place to ensure it is used appropriately to support Lambeth children. You will visit, provide advice and support early years settings and childminders in the schools, private, voluntary and independent sector to be sustainable businesses. You will support the Early Years Entitlements Delivery Co-ordinator and be responsible for undertaking termly pupil data collection (for all funded entitlements) and establish effective monitoring of the validity of data used for the purpose of DfE funded entitlement and calculation of payments, working across departmental colleagues as appropriate. You will need a sound understanding of data and be able to support the team to ensure the Council’s Census submission is accurate and submitted on time to the Department for Education. You will have some knowledge of basic financial and IT procedures, knowledge of how to use excel, with excellent attention to detail.
