We are seeking a committed and experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care Team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. The role involves case management responsibility for children in care and long-term care requirement cases. Key responsibilities include:
* Holding case management responsibility for a number of children in care
* Contributing to an effective and efficient service delivery
* Reporting to the Team Manager
* Working collaboratively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children
* Developing and maintaining effective relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders
* Providing support and guidance to children and families to promote their well-being and resilience
* Collaborating with other agencies to ensure the needs of children are met
* Participating in training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of case work and service delivery
* Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
* Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities
* Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection principles
* Working in accordance with the principles of the Children Act 1989 and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
* Maintaining a commitment to equality and diversity in all aspects of work
* Participating in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support and advice
* Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
* Participating in the development and implementation of strategies to promote the well-being and resilience of children and families
* Collaborating with other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and support plans
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of case work and service delivery
* Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities
