This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role in a cutting edge analytics team. Data, now more than ever, is crucial for supporting our clients and understanding their customers better so we can meet their needs and drive better outcomes. As our Data Analytics Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across the business, using advanced analytics to understand our client needs better and share your expertise to solve problems in line with our product strategy. Your team will be helping to shape our approach to using data by continuing to build out a modern data stack. The stack includes technologies such as Looker, Snowflake, DBT, Cyclr and SageMaker, and will allow business teams to unlock actionable insight and models, driving successful business outcomes and enabling SaleCycle product development. You will be responsible for growing a team by supporting and retaining our analytics developers and data scientists and attracting the best talent. You'll be responsible for training, giving direction to current colleagues, and ensuring they have the right tools, skills and product clarity for what they need to deliver. You will need to balance the day-to-day demands of the business whilst playing a massive part in enabling your team to contribute as efficiently and effectively as possible to deliver new products based on our strategy and vision. As a Data Analytics Manager, you will Build and lead a strong team of Data Professionals, bringing the best talent into the team, mentoring and coaching team members and ensuring their success. Deliver work according to the priorities set by the Technical Delivery Director in the context of quarterly objectives with input from the CTO, your team and other stakeholders. Support your team by helping to bridge the gap between problems and solutions, clearing blockers, and providing timely constructive feedback when needed. Take an active role in championing best practices as we scale our modern data stack, by defining standards and policies to ensure maintainability and quality. Collaborate with the CTO to help define the strategy for how SaleCycle can maximise the value of our data and best utilise our data capabilities. Assist the Technical Delivery Director and the Product team with effective planning and scoping of data-driven solutions that help to drive our strategic product strategy. Respond to ad-hoc requests for data intelligence, drawing on your own and your team's breadth of experience to deliver high quality insight in a timely manner. Work closely with internal client-facing teams to ensure that we are able to meet clients' reporting requirements in a product led and scalable way and that knowledge and awareness of our overall reporting capabilities are communicated effectively. Promote a positive culture within the team, creating a safe space where ideas can be openly discussed and instil practices such as knowledge sharing. Build good relationships with other managers inside and outside the wider Technology Department to better understand their needs and perceptions. Mentor, support, and provide feedback to your team by sharing your experience, best practices and staying abreast of the latest technologies and techniques. Requirements for the role Three years of professional experience working in a Data Analytics role. Extensive knowledge of modern data stacks (Looker, Snowflake, DBT) and able to identify opportunities of applying it to unlock business value. Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, with a natural ability to prioritise concurrent requests of varying depth and complexity across different levels of stakeholder and manage expectations effectively. Able to draw upon own experience to identify areas for improvement in process and technology, and actively participate in helping to support other people's ideas. Understand the skills required to tell a meaningful story from data, allowing the insight to be effectively communicated to all levels of the business. A well rounded data professional with some experience across a range of data disciplines, such as Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science etc. Desirable Experience and Qualifications Building, leading, mentoring, and developing high performing analytical teams. Experience across a wide range of data technologies and tools. Good awareness of data governance and implications for handling personal data. Already delivered, or is in the process of delivering, a substantial business transformation involving the creation of a robust and modern data stack.
