SEN Behaviour Mentor – GOOD School in Bromley A school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated SEN Behaviour Mentor to support students with challenging behaviour. This is a key role in helping to create a positive learning environment and providing guidance to improve students' social and emotional skills. Position: SEN Behaviour Mentor Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: Bromley, London School Information: The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where students with special educational needs, including behavioural challenges, are given the tools and guidance to succeed. Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and group support to students with challenging behaviour, helping them manage their emotions and behaviour in a positive way. Assist students in developing social skills and improving their self-regulation in various school settings. Work closely with the SENCO and teachers to implement behaviour management strategies and Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment by promoting positive behaviour and conflict resolution. Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents on improvements and areas for development. Work with external agencies when necessary to provide additional support for students with behavioural needs. Provide mentoring and guidance to students, encouraging personal growth and resilience. Experience and Qualifications: Experience working with students who display challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or care setting. Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques. A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to working with students who require additional support. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Relevant qualifications in SEN support or behaviour management are desirable. A DBS check is required.
