Who You Are We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a qualification in Association of Accounting Technicians or equivalent, passionate about providing financial support services within the education sector. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a sound understanding of local government accounting and financial procedures. A strong command of both English and Welsh is desirable. What the Job Involves This role entails supporting the Principal Accountant in the delivery of financial services to schools as part of the Service Level Agreement. Responsibilities include preparing annual budgets, closing accounts, providing financial projections, and visiting schools to advise on budget matters. You will also maintain a Financial Reporting System and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The role requires establishing relationships, ensuring adherence to policies, and the application of health and safety practices. You may also be called upon to undertake various tasks within the scope of your duties as required by your manager.
