Position Summary:
The Buyer - Manufacturing is responsible for developing and managing strategic supplier partnerships that deliver innovation, cost-effectiveness, and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers, and patients. You will work collaboratively with Supplier Quality Assurance, Sustaining Engineering, and Purchasing teams. This role involves regional execution of strategic plans while managing relationships with critical suppliers.
Location: Runcorn - Hybrid
What you will do:
In this role, you will contribute to creating value-driven supplier partnerships by taking charge of the following:
1. Build and manage diverse supplier relationships to drive innovation, best cost, and competitive advantage.
2. Execute and manage regional strategic sourcing plans.
3. Lead supplier selection and contract negotiation processes.
4. Collaborate with Supplier Quality Assurance, Sustaining Engineering, and Purchasing teams to ensure supply chain optimization.
5. Mitigate supply chain risks by implementing effective strategies.
6. Serve as a point of escalation for the EMEA purchasing team, resolving disputes with suppliers when necessary.
Reporting: This position reports to the Regional Sourcing Manager and will work closely within the strategic sourcing team to support business initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or supplier relationship management.
3. Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in supply chain optimization tools and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in the healthcare or manufacturing industry.
2. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams across regions.
