The team provides a professional property management service to University owned Accommodation across our Frenchay and Glenside Campuses. As an Accommodation Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of an assigned portfolio of accommodation. The team provides support to students that live in University Accommodation, enabling them to feel a sense of belonging to the UWE Bristol community. We understand the part students play and model healthy and inclusive behaviours.
The role is varied, and part of your remit will also involve liaising with key staff to get the best support for students by working with colleagues across the University. The emphasis is on the wellbeing, safety, and satisfaction of residents and the management of the properties and facilities provided, to standards demanded by legislation, good practice, and by the customer.

In all our activities, we are driven by a culture of continuous improvement, implementing enhancements to our service delivery to enable an exceptional staff and student experience.
About you
You will have excellent people skills, able to deal with difficult situations calmly in the moment. You will need to prioritise your workload, offering excellent customer service, whilst balancing the needs of your whole portfolio of students/accommodation. You will be able to communicate effectively to students, guests, parents, guardians, and other stakeholders in the moment both formally and informally.
Knowledge of IT systems or complex databases as an end user would be advantageous. Skills or an interest in buildings, property management, or property legislation would be valuable.
You will need to have excellent networking and influencing skills to establish positive working relationships across the campus. You will be passionate about people and providing the best service for your customers.

The working week will be 37 hours per week, working Monday-Friday, with one shift per week working until 19:00 as part of a rota with others, likely to be a Friday to be confirmed on appointment.
Where is this role based?
