In this role, you will take charge of the electrical and hardware aspects of control systems, translating mechanical designs into functional solutions. This includes creating Sensor Actuator Layouts (SALs), developing ePLAN schematics, and ensuring that designs meet performance standards while adhering to both regional and organizational requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING:
1. Reviewing Mechanical Layouts: Analyze mechanical layouts (x-refs) and incorporate the appropriate electrical and controls hardware components into the x-refs.
2. Design Documentation: Produce detailed design documentation, such as Sensor Actuator Layout drawings, cable routes, Bill of Materials (BOM), and design calculations.
3. System Control Components: Ensure all system control components and architectures are within acceptable design limitations, including cable capacity, voltage drop, fault currents, Profibus/Profinet runs, and working distances.
4. Schematic Creation: Develop full sets of schematic circuit diagrams and associated reports using ePLAN.
5. Standard Components: Apply company-standard installation components whenever possible. When alternatives are required, provide cost-effective solutions that minimize costs and reduce installation time.
6. Third-Party Interfaces: Define, design, and implement interfaces with third-party controls as needed.
7. Technical Support: Offer technical support to the on-site team regarding system design and electrical installation issues.
