Job summary We are looking for an energetic; customer focused Catering Assistant to be part of a team that delivers a safe, high quality catering service to Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust. Our busy in house food production unit produces approximately 15,000 inpatient and staff meals per week across a number of outlets. Our candidate will ideally have good knowledge of catering practices and procedures. Previous experience desirable but full training will be given. Main duties of the job Responsible for assisting in the efficient and effective preparation and service of food and beverages to patient's, staff and visitors including the associated cleaning and hygiene related duties. Specifically, to ensure Food Safety is given the upmost consideration and that all legislative and departmental practices are carried out strictly at all times.
