We have an exciting new permanent position for our Manufacturing client as an Electrical Maintenance Specialist.
This role is a new appointment within the team as it concentrates on the Fire Prevention side of Maintenance.
Working Monday to Friday days, offering a salary of £36-£39k with benefits to include 25 days holiday, enhanced pension contributions, etc.
Working hand in hand with the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager and Health & Safety, you will be instrumental in maintaining the site safety of all the machines. The premise of the role is to provide electrical and basic mechanical support for fire preventative maintenance and general maintenance to ensure safety and continuity of production.
Qualifications
1. Minimum ONC Electrical qualification, relevant apprenticeship.
Skills & Knowledge
1. Electronic programming - PLC programming & display programming
2. Mechanical ability to include basic hydraulics, pneumatics and hand skills
3. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
4. Knowledge of PLCs and AC/DC drives
Responsibilities
1. Undertake routine machine inspection of electrical and mechanical components, using visual techniques; metering and test equipment and other monitoring devices.
2. Undertake corrective action to the machine inspection findings.
3. Liaise with the HS&E department and attend key meetings to communicate and discuss the fire prevention activities, machine checks and corrective action status.
4. Complete safety improvement activities on key machines and equipment as identified through risk assessments, surveys, SIR's and other notification mechanisms.
5. Complete thermographic surveys as part of the fire audit team.
6. Assist in the development and deployment of TPM and asset care regimes, including 'hands on' involvement with asset care systems, 5's and autonomous maintenance.
7. Create electrical drawings of new/modified machines to provide documentation of circuits and systems to aid fault finding.
