Are you interested in working with people in mental health crisis? We are a crisis home treatment team looking for new Band 6 RMN, OT, Social Worker or CAP to join our team. If you are a Band 5 ready to make the step in your development, then we would love to hear from you too. We would support a Band 5 post with a clear personal development plan, with the aim to support you into a Band 6 role within 6 months. We are mindful that every practitioner has their specialist areas of interest and we support practitioners in pursuing them in the service where appropriate.
The access teams (and all the BANES teams) are very compassionate, and there will be many staff across the teams who would support you along your journey in your new role. As we work towards a home treatment model you will be part of a multidisciplinary team including newly introduced roles such as clinical associate psychologists. This range of scope allows for great interprofessional learning and training.

Main duties of the job
The Band 6 will have a role leading the team.
Within this role they may:
1. Accept and review referrals
2. Complete holistic psychosocial assessments within the community and general hospital settings for home treatment or gatekeeping for hospital admission.
3. Attend Mental Health Act assessments, and offer home treatment plans when indicated
4. Implementation of Risk Management and Care Plans for the effective home treatment of Service Users utilising least restrictive practice at every opportunity.
5. Medication management and concordance within community. Other duties and responsibilities included in line with job description.
6. Good communication and organisational skills are essential to this role, along with excellent clinical knowledge and skills.
There will be a comprehensive induction to the role and a supported period of supernumerary to aid with transition.
