The Role Duty Care Coordinator, Blackpool
Due to expansion, we are looking to employ a new Care Co-ordinator to add to our team. As a Care Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of care staff allocations and the continuity of care, you will also be responsible for managing the care and rostering system that we use.
You will work closely with your colleagues and other departments within the company to ensure that the right staff resources are allocated effectively, in order to meet the planned needs of our service users. You will be responsible for the data integrity of the schedules within the rostering/ monitoring systems.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, taking into account the variety of complex and sensitive situations that occur both internally and externally.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of your specified area (Blackpool), this includes spending time in the area supporting your team and completing spot checks, for example. You will also be required to spend time in the office based in Morecambe.
You will also be expected to cover carer shifts within your area in the event of an emergency and situations out of the companys control.
Due to the nature of the post it is essential that you are familiar with, and are competent in computer IT systems such as Microsoft Word & Excel.
Your key duties will include:
* Shift management
* Working closely with management team
* Day to day responsibility of your assigned area
* Ensuring all systems are kept up to date with relevant service user information
* Other admin related task
* On call duty (one weekend every month), rota basis
Requirements
The skills we require you to have to be considered for this role are as follows:
* Experience managing a team (ie. Team Leader, Supervisor)
* A driving licence, personal car and business insurance
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Flexibility (you will be required to work from the office based in Morecambe and within your assigned area, Blackpool)
* Competent in computer IT systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel
