Job Description Job Role - Restaurant Manager Rate of pay - £48,500 (service charge) Location - Windsor (Must Drive) POSITION OVERVIEW To be responsible for the smooth running of all restaurant services through close liaison with the Head Chef, Assistant Manager and service team. To develop a well-structured team of food and wine service motivated to deliver the highest levels of service and guests care and exceed expectations at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Manage, lead & motivate the team to enhance performance, achieve business goals, financial budgets and service standards Mentor, train & coach team members - includes day-day coaching & OTJ training & formal training Manage shift coverage, work load & resource distribution within & across teams Monitor & evaluate team performance & conduct PDPs for team supervisors Interviewing, hiring, induction & succession planning of staff Manage departmental budge, P&L, Payroll To develop, implement & monitor appropriate service & performance standards to ensure consistently outstanding guest experience for guests Ensure all procedures & day-day performance comply with legislative & hotel guidelines e.g. Health & safety, food handling & hygiene legislation; good HK practice; F&B linen & uniform care Identify, implement & monitor new standards to enable service excellence Ensure all team members are enabled to deliver consistently excellent service To manage, monitor & continually improve service & operational systems to enable seamless guest relations & comply with Hotel guidelines Develop, deploy & monitor professional guest service systems e.g.: Reservation system; guest records Manage & monitor an effective billing and cash management system i.e. Micros point of Sales Proactively monitor & respond to guest comments & feedback Drive innovation, identify & resolve issues & challenge current procedures to ensure continuous improvement of service & operational standards To ensure the menu and environment is consistent with a luxury establishment in order to meet & exceed guest expectations & maximise business growth Review & update menus to reflect Hotel status, industry trends & guest needs Manage & maintain excellent condition & care of furniture, fixtures & equipment etc Manage appropriate stocking & usage of linen, glassware, china & silverware Ensure all team members display excellence in personal grooming & hygiene To conduct sales & marketing activities in order to drive business growth & profit Contribute to the preparation & implementation of F&B marketing plan Plan, implement & monitor sales promotions & marketing activities as needed Manage day-day brand business to maximise sales Stay ahead of hospitality market trends & assess competition as needed To provide effective day-to day communication with guests, colleagues & teams To work across brands & partner with colleagues to harmonize procedures & share knowledge To lead & facilitate Brand team meetings QUAIFICATIONS & DESIRABLES Hotel management diploma or university degree Previous experience in a five star environment Experience within a leadership role Fluent written and spoken English Sound knowledge of the hospitality industry Business acumen and experience of budget management Proven financial success and ability to analyse data Service excellence People management experience Driven Immaculate appearance Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
