Design Technology Teacher Location: Sheffield Pay Scale: £140 to £190 per Day Start Date: January 2025 End Date: Until Easter Break Contract Type: Temporary & Full Time The Role: GSL Education’s South Yorkshire Branch is currently looking to appoint a dedicated and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school. As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across a variety of design disciplines, helping students develop creative and technical skills. The teacher will play a key role in inspiring students to explore the world of design, technology, and engineering. The successful candidate will: Teaching design technology to secondary students, fostering creativity and innovation. Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that cater to all learners. Marking and providing detailed feedback to support student development and progress. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices. Supporting students in both theoretical and practical design skills. Requirements: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Specialise in design technology or a related subject. Be passionate about promoting design, innovation, and practical skills. Possess excellent classroom management and the ability to engage students of varying abilities. Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
