Health & Safety / CDM Advisor (House Building) – East Scotland
Location: East Scotland (covering Fife, Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian, and East Lothian)

We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled and passionate Health & Safety / CDM Advisor to support our clients’ industry-leading health and safety culture. The Role
As a Health & Safety / CDM Advisor, you will report to the Construction Services Director and play a pivotal role in ensuring health and safety excellence across multiple house-building sites in East Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting site inspections and support visits to ensure compliance and best practices.
2. Providing expert technical and HSE advice to site management teams.
3. Performing targeted monthly checks to maintain safety standards.
4. Attending and contributing to monthly client meetings.
5. Collaborating with the Client Regional HSE Advisor to ensure consistency and alignment.
6. Identifying and implementing practical solutions to site issues.
7. Building trust and solid working relationships with site teams.
8. Investigating incidents and accidents to uncover root causes and prevent recurrence.
9. Conducting external Principal Contractor (PC) and client inspections.
10. Delivering in-house training for operatives and management teams to enhance knowledge and compliance.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about driving continuous health and safety improvements.
Qualifications, Experience, and Training:
1. Strong background in UK-based construction and house-building sectors.
2. NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential).
3. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role (desirable).
4. Full UK driving licence.
5. Immediate availability.
