Main duties of the job o The post holder will take an active part in the delivery of the IPC agenda by supporting the IPCSN with the IPC work stream across the organisation o To ensure timely communications and escalations within the team and the wider organisation when required. o Have the confidence to challenge poor practice appropriately where it is observed and raise with operational colleagues o Work closely with the operational team to support the completion of audits and related action plans in a timely way and support closure of the audit cycle including carrying out environmental and hand hygiene audits o Have an understanding and working knowledge of the IT packages that are used, including Microsoft Office- Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point, MS Teams. o To undertake some office duties including diary management and message management, opening and distributing emails as appropriate from the IPC inbox, dealing with telephone callso Take minutes at meetings, type up and distribute within agreed timescales o Develop spread sheets to support accurate reporting of key performance indicators for the organisation o Develop training packages for clinicians in skills like hand hygiene and devise how best to deliver the training, evaluating the uptake and potential improved compliance. o Providing support with delivery of Core Hand Hygiene trainings and IPC Champions webinars and study days.
