Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria: All applicants must be: Aged 16 Resident in the UK/EEA for the last three consecutive years Must not have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level or above Must not be in any form of formal government-funded education upon the start of their apprenticeship Qualifications and Skills Required: Good general standard of education 4 GCSE's at Grade D/3 or above (or equivalent) subject to the job specification Good standard of literacy and numeracy Good communication and interpersonal skills Good IT skills Main duties of the job This role involves assisting with all aspects of Imaging including preparing patients for examinations, helping to position patients for examinations, assisting with interventional procedures, in addition to having knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology. The role is patient focused so good communication is essential to assist patients and to demonstrate care and empathy to those who are unwell or distressed, helping them through the Imaging process. As the post holder you will contribute to the provision of a high standard of care for patients and carry out some duties unaided, in accordance with Trust/Directorate policy, at the discretion of qualified staff. This is role will rotate on a roster basis throughout the department including MRI, CT, Plain Film and Ultrasound, the rotation will include shifts at NNUH and Cromer District Hospital.
