Hexwired have partnered with an exciting electronics manufacturer in the Cambridge area who are looking for a new member of their experienced engineering team. They are looking for a candidate with a strong academic background and a couple of years of experience in a software engineering setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development, coding, and testing of embedded software for high speed electronics devices and systems.
2. Collaborate with digital hardware engineers to integrate embedded software and firmware.
3. Participate in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems, focusing on signal processing and communication protocols.
4. Develop and optimize low-level drivers, real-time systems, and communication stacks for wireless applications.
5. Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards.
6. Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and design discussions.
Requirements:
1. Masters degree or above in Maths, Physics, Computer Science or related technical subject.
2. At least 3 As at A-Level.
3. Experience with C, C++, Python or other related programming languages.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
5. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and development processes.
6. Good communication skills for documenting and discussing technical details with the engineering team.
Desired:
1. Software engineering experience in an industrial or research setting.
2. Understanding of wireless systems.
