An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic outpatient HCAs to join our existing teams within General Outpatients (GOPD) at CDC. We are looking for HCAs who possess good organizational and people skills along with a variety of nursing skills.
We are a dedicated and supportive team that provides treatment and care to a wide variety of patients. Our departments are busy, unpredictable environments, where we care for patients attending appointments for different specialties including dermatology, gynecology, rheumatology, urology, cardiology, neurology, and many more. A new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) has also opened where we host further GOPD clinics for our patients.
Our departments are open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. The successful candidates will be expected to work fully rotational across our GOPD sites at Gloucester, Cheltenham, and our new Community Diagnostic Centre in Gloucester Quays (Hospital transport bus available with Park and Ride facilities in Cheltenham).
As part of the outpatient clinical team, you will assist in delivering high-quality services under the supervision of qualified staff. You will support all staff with the day-to-day running of services undertaken at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will work well with people at all levels and effectively as a team member. You will undertake link roles to assist in the smooth running of the department, provide a variety of nursing and personal care, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will communicate effectively, especially where patient ability to do so may be compromised, and chaperone where required. You will contribute towards a forward-thinking, compassionate, and inclusive workforce that focuses on an engaging team approach.
Working for our organization:
We are seeking highly compassionate and enthusiastic HCAs who possess good communication and people skills to help us continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients. We are an experienced team that cares deeply about our patients and their hospital experiences with us.
The successful candidates will be required to work fully rotational across both sites at Gloucester, Cheltenham, and our new Community Diagnostic Centre in Gloucester Quays (Hospital transport bus available with Park and Ride facilities in Cheltenham). We actively encourage and support appropriate staff development within their roles.
Our departments are open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm (with occasional late finishes).
