Title: Plant Manager
Reports to: COO
Job Overview:
Mistral Inc is seeking a Plant Manager, with significant experience managing the daily operations, including production, supply chain, purchasing, engineering, etc. The plant manager will have oversight of Mistral’s manufacturing facility. This role requires a "hands-on" management approach, and entails supervising a diverse team, including office staff, fabricators, welders, machinists, technicians, and chemists, ensuring the production of high-quality goods within cost and time constraints.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Strategically oversee the production process, ensuring efficient operation, cost-effectiveness, and timely output of high-quality products.
2. Establish the yearly budget for the plant.
3. Develop and manage the production schedule, estimate costs, and establish and ensure quality standards.
4. Allocate labor and material resources effectively, adjusting plans as necessary to meet production targets.
5. Oversee equipment selection and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance.
6. Implement and monitor quality control programs to uphold product standards.
7. Maintain comprehensive records of material inventory, production progress, and material location.
8. Collaborate with other departments to align production with broader company goals.
9. Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe workplace environment.
10. Lead, motivate, and develop a team, identifying training needs and evaluating performance.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
2. 5-10 years of experience in production or plant management, preferably in a related industry of metal fabrication and integration.
3. Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015.
4. Knowledge and experience in ERP systems, preferably Microsoft NAV.
5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel and MS Project.
6. Understanding of ASTM & AWS standards, with experience in steel fabrication.
7. Demonstrated leadership in managing production floor operations.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials, production processes, configuration management, quality control, and industrial equipment.
9. Exceptional managerial, communication, and problem-solving skills.
