Role Highlights:
* Work on new engine products, including validation and launch.
* Conduct various engine tests, inspect components, and engage in end-to-end testing.
* Participate in infrastructure upgrades, including emissions equipment renewal.
Required Skills:
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with engine test systems like DSG, Cadet, PUMA, and experience in writing test schedules.
* Exposure to ECU controller software packages.
Industry Experience:
* 3+ years of experience with diesel or gas engine test programs.
* Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems in genset applications.
* Mechanical/electrical experience in diesel engines, including stripping, rebuilding, and a strong automotive/off-highway mechanical background.
* Preferred alternative experience: Aerospace background.
Top 3 Hard Skills:
* Mechanical/electrical expertise with engines, including stripping and rebuilding.
* Experience with instrumentation like thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, and emission analyzers.
Certifications:
* City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in automotive mechanics or higher (IMechE accreditation/HNC/HND/B.Eng.).
