North Somerset child and adolescent mental health team (CAMHS) currently offers a range of innovative and informed approaches, supports CPD opportunities with a comprehensive in-house training programme. The team also provides Eating Disorder & Learning Disability Services and so have the potential to offer development opportunities. The successful candidate will be part of a stimulating and supportive multidisciplinary, working as part of the leadership team to provide assessment, treatments for children, adolescents & their families with complex mental health needs. Main duties of the job To carry out assessments and provide treatment for young people presenting with significant mental health difficulties in the community. To be highly skilled in clinical risk assessment and management in relation to children and young people including experience of managing self-injurious behaviour. To be able to offer evidence based interventions to children, young people and families according to NICE guidance and local pathways of care.
