We have an exciting new opening to develop your career at one of the leading energy suppliers. As a Cost Stack Manager, you will take a leading role ensuring that Total Gas & Power’s pricing includes accurate cost assessments for both the current and future market conditions for non-commodity charges.
This role is crucial to the profitability of TotalEnergies Gas & Power. The successful candidate will need to ensure that cost models are up to date and keep on top of ongoing regulation changes. They will also have to present and justify changes to costs and highlight areas of uncertainty.
Another crucial aspect will be to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships within sales, marketing & operational functions to ensure costs are managed across the business.
With coaching, support and an excellent support network, it would be a great fit for an experienced analyst or commercial lead looking to accelerate their influence on the performance and growth of an ambitious and successful organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing and feeding information into forecasting models for all non-commodity charges across gas and power
* Monitoring regulation changes affecting industry costs and analysing impacts
* Engaging with the pricing team to ensure pricing systems are updated timely and accurately
* Quarterly review and submission of TNUoS forecast to National Grid
* Looking at demand trends and other economic information to formulate forward views
* Highlighting risks and feeding this into the Commercial team and the ongoing development of the Commercial Strategy
* Monitoring inflation, using external forecasts to assess levels required in internal models
Requirements and Skills:
* Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
* Commercial acumen; a background in finance is advantageous
* Ability to present, interact and influence at Director level
* Ability to extract key drivers from models for non-commodity and build forward views
* Ability to extrapolate assumptions based on analysis of historic data and insight into future market conditions
* Confidence to query with networks and industry organisations when data is not as expected
