A Huddersfield based Engineering company who have invented, designed and patented an extremely successful solution, has an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer (Electrical bias) to join their team. The role will involve:
You will be working on a range of specialist equipment designed, built and maintained in house.
The right candidate will be dealing with builds, repairs, breakdowns, fault finding and site support.
In an effort to eliminate repetitive faults, the company invests time in developing its equipment and therefore the position will involve the successful candidate voicing ideas for design changes and development.
On occasion (currently around once every 2 months but this will vary) it will be necessary to attend site to perform fault diagnosis and repair which can be UK or overseas.Requirements
Driving license and passport.
Good problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting and repairs
Relevant electrical experience (automotive or site/appliance)
Ability to perform electrical modifications and upgrades to existing equipment
Familiarity with motors, relays, switches, connectors, crimping and soldering
Able to understand and work from electrical wiring diagrams Any experience in the following areas would be an advantage (but not essential):
Basic mechanical skills
Experience of 12V & 24V systems
Awareness of PLCs and HMIs
PAT Testing
Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Company Information
