Role: Maintenance Operative
Location: Solihull Contract: 35 hrs p/w (Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00)

Working as a team, our Maintenance Operatives ensure that the property is maintained and kept in a good state of repair at all times by quickly carrying out minor repairs, undertaking pre-emptive repair work, and performing checks on structure, infrastructure, and equipment.
The Role of Maintenance Operative
* To provide first response to all repairs to identify the fault and repair or refer to Asset Management/nominated contractor.
* Carrying out day-to-day operational repairs and maintenance of the building, its fixtures and fittings, and its equipment. This will include painting and decoration to rented flats as they become void.
* Complete checks of all specified equipment (plant and other) on a regular basis.
* Routine testing within policy and procedure for fire checks and relevant health & safety policies.
* Checking all lighting, inside and outside the scheme to ensure lights are operational and a VFM service is provided. Replace bulbs and report any electrical faults to management.
* Carrying out minor repairs in tenanted flats and in leasehold flats where required, e.g., replace light bulbs, hang pictures/mirrors, etc.
* Placing orders for repair and maintenance material, tools, and related goods.
* Ensuring all relevant paperwork and documentation is kept current, that SOPs are updated as circumstance or legislation dictates.
