We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated full-time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Slough area. This school caters to pupils with a range of learning difficulties, including moderate to severe additional needs, and focuses on creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning needs, both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities. You will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to each student, helping them engage with their learning in a way that suits their individual needs. Responsibilities Supporting students with a range of SEN needs Helping students engage in class activities and assisting with learning tasks Providing 1:1 or small group support, as directed by the class teacher Adapting learning resources and activities to suit individual learning styles Encouraging students to develop their social, emotional, and communication skills Monitoring student progress and contributing to feedback and assessments Assisting in the development of personalised learning plans in collaboration with the SEN team Requirements ✅ Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) ✅ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students ✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team ✅ A flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to the needs of the students ✅ Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential ✅ A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Pay: £90-99.00 Per day PAYE & Holiday Pay.
