Do you have a passion for supporting children and helping them overcome learning challenges? Protocol Education is thrilled to offer a rewarding opportunity for a kind-hearted and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic Primary School in Harlow. In this role, you’ll provide dedicated, personalized support to a child, helping them to grow both academically and personally in a supportive environment.
You’ll work closely with the classroom teacher to ensure the child receives the tailored support they need to succeed, whether it's with core subjects, social skills, or emotional development. This is your chance to make a real, lasting difference in a child’s life! ✨
Key Responsibilities:
✨ Provide 1:1 Support: Work directly with a child, offering personalized help in accessing the curriculum, managing tasks, and engaging with lessons.
✨ Build Confidence: Encourage the child to take risks in their learning and celebrate their achievements, helping to boost self-esteem and independence.
✨ Adapt Teaching Methods: Modify resources and adapt approaches to suit the child's learning style, ensuring they understand and engage with the material.
✨ Track Progress: Regularly assess and report on the child’s development, providing feedback to the teacher and making adjustments to your approach as needed.
✨ Foster a Positive Relationship: Build a supportive, trusting relationship with the child, helping them feel safe and motivated to engage in their learning.
✨ Collaborate with Staff and Parents: Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure the child’s needs are being met and that there is a clear communication channel regarding their progress.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in education or with children who require extra support is a bonus, but a genuine passion for helping children is essential!
Patience & Empathy: A caring, patient approach is key—especially when working with children who may have additional learning needs.
Strong Communication Skills: You’ll need to communicate effectively with the child, teachers, and parents to ensure progress and address any challenges.
Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to the child’s needs, changing your approach when necessary.
Qualifications: A teaching assistant qualification is ideal but not required—attitude and enthusiasm are what matter most!
