About the role
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing external reporting processes, supporting the broader finance team, and strengthening the company's financial control framework. To support the business with technical accounting queries and advice. Management of financial and legal compliance including preparation of annual statutory accounts, Office for National Statistics submissions, assisting with tax returns, acting as a key point of contact for external audits.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Manage submissions for external bodies, such as the Office for National Statistics (ONS), providing accurate and timely financial data.
* Support audits by acting as the key contact for external auditors, ensuring queries are addressed effectively, and audit findings are implemented where necessary.
* Working with external accountants to prepare the annual statutory financial statements, streamlining the process where possible.
* Development and documentation of accounting policies and processes in line with group accounting policy framework.
Requirements
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
* Ideally coming from an audit background.
* Technical Accountant - Strong understanding and application of accounting standards.
* Experience of statutory accounts preparation.
* Prior experience of auditing beneficial.
