As Central Operations Manager, as well as leading the day-to-day operational processes and compliance for our stores, you will shape and define how we flatten & removal obstacles for our store teams, enabling them to spend more time with customers. About the opportunity : This role sits within the Boots Opticians Central Operations function, reporting into the Head of Operations. Key responsibilities of the role include: Creation and delivery of Operational continuous programme, simplifying tasks and automating processes Work closely with Area & Store Managers to lead and embed operational change, as well identifying further opportunities to become a simple & efficient business through an ‘outside-in’ mindset Own Operational guidance, risk assessments and self-audit governance on behalf of the business Oversee all business operational communications including owner of the BCP plan Own optical testing equipment spends strategy and budget for core stores, ensuring value for money on the end-to end-life cycle, including maintenance providers, contract management, KPI & SLA deliverables and ensuring testing kit is available 100% of the time in store What you’ll need to have A burning passion for making life simpler and easier for our store teams through use of technology & automation to digitise and remove operational task A hunger to challenge the status quo, curiosity to understand the ‘how & why’ and courage to ‘give it a go’ Recent and up-to-date Opticians store experience, with a healthy dissatisfaction for manual processes and paper Understanding of Boots optical equipment requirements and experience of account / vendor management Strong attention to detail, have excellent organisation & planning skills and be an effective verbal & written co-ordinator Our benefits Boots Retirement Savings Plan Discretionary annual bonus Generous employee discounts Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child Flexible benefits scheme including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and more.
