Description The Service & Team: The Safeguarding Children Partnership team supports the arrangements between Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly Councils; Devon and Cornwall Police and the Integrated Care Board. The role is primarily home based with some meetings at New County Hall or other local venues. This role is key to the smooth running of multi agency safeguarding arrangements across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This position will be subject to a standard criminal record disclosure check. Key Duties include : Liaising effectively with internal and external agencies. To share information securely, in order to ensure children and or vulnerable adults are kept safe from risk of harm. Be able to manage and prioritise workload effectively to meet statutory and non-statutory deadlines Maintain up-to-date understanding of procedures and policies which affect working practices, as well as procedures, customer care principles, data protection and client confidentiality. Provision of professional, high quality and consistent administrative support in order to respond in a clear, timely and appropriate manner that promotes positive outcomes for children Working Pattern: This position requires x2 fixed days/week. The agreed days will be fixed and within core hours (9-5) This role requires year round coverage. What you’ll need to succeed: 4 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent including English. Ability to liaise appropriately with all levels of professional staff within own department and others, and from external agencies and the public. Experience of general office procedures and meetings administration Experience of handling/working with sensitive and confidential data. Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to cope under pressure and possess initiative.
