Description We are looking for Warehouse Supervisor (Logistics and Distribution), In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of people, driving the delivery of Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets by focusing on continuous Improvement, and standardisation and by promoting a team-based culture. Act as a role model for team members and other Supervisors. Manage the allocation of work on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets. Establish the customer as the primary focus of the work of the Area. Understanding the impacts of internal and external customers. Ensure delivery of team targets by the team. Manage team performance through job instruction, regular reviews, and team meetings. Assess training needs. Create and deliver skills training plans to ensure there is adequate day-to-day cover on the team and build flexibility for how team members can be utilised. Monitor team performance (targets, absence, skills, conduct) by implementing appropriate performance management processes to resolve performance issues, including disciplinary activity. With HR Advisor/Oracle, create recruitment plans and contribute to recruitment and selection of new staff. Ensure all new staff are inducted and trained to the required standards. Manage team budget (where known), to include all aspects of cost, within established guidelines, to result in cost reduction. Act in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with both internal and external customers. Ability to cover for the Distribution Manager's absence. Managing Communication: Provide daily, weekly and monthly performance reports on team targets and on all direct and indirect activities as requested. Develop and maintain visual management boards in the Area. Implement all communication processes - Team Meetings, Daily Team Briefings, etc Managing Processes: Ensure that standard operating procedures are created, communicated and maintained for every process in the Area. Actively pursue the elimination of waste through regular review of the processes and through day-to-day application of continuous improvement tools and techniques. Manage exceptions to standard processes in a timely and efficient way ensuring all team members are communicated and trained appropriately. Manage the Environment: Lead the housekeeping initiatives in the Area. Ensure Health and Safety standards are communicated and adhered to in the Area.
