Our client:
* Our client is a market-leading bakery business, renowned for their high-quality bakery products that are available to grab on-the-go.
* Our client offers over 500+ premium frozen baked good products and pride themselves on innovation and high-quality products.
The role:
* Reporting into the channel sales manager, the sales development representative will be responsible for managing and developing existing accounts, as well as winning new business within a specific territory.
* As the sales development manager, you will visit existing customers and work with them to grow sales (80% of the role). This will include introducing additional products, NPD, promotions etc.
* The sales development manager will also proactively search for new business and win new accounts (20% of the role).
* The sales development manager will be responsible for managing their territory on a daily basis and achieving the required frequency of visits.
* Taking a proactive approach, the sales development manager will share territory business plans with the channel sales manager, seeking continuous improvement and setting targets for future action.
* The sales development representative will be a strong communicator, ensuring seamless communication with your telesales buddy to ensure growth plans are harmonised.
* This role has great progression opportunities with all higher-level sales roles within the company having progressed from a sales development representative.
* This role is field-based.
* Confidence and great communication skills are essential.
* The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and take a proactive approach to their work.
* The ideal candidate will have a get-up-and-go attitude towards their work.
* Strong relationship building skills are key.
* A commercial, entrepreneurial attitude is ideal.
