Who are we?
Opening in April 2025, Polo Club Hotel, part of Dallas Burston Polo Club, will be a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Warwickshire, initially opening with 41 luxury bedrooms. The hotel is set within an established 600-acre site, host to the UK's only International-sized polo ground, and the IXL Events Centre.
Role responsibilities
The hotel sales manager will be an integral part of the pre and post-opening team and the day-to-day running and expansion thereafter. The results-oriented hotel sales manager will be expected to manage the efficient management of the proactive and reactive segmentation strategy, achieving sales and activity targets along with customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in new opening hotels and will have exceptional organisation, communication, and presentation skills.
Duties include
1. Develop and convert leads and enquiries while recording data and account management activity within the hotel CRM.
2. Meet clients, show around, and sell the facilities over 7 days, as required by clients, which may include weekends and evenings.
3. Ensure the expectations of the guest's needs are met or exceeded throughout the sales process.
4. Work to predetermined sales key performance indicators.
5. Attend business review meetings as appropriate.
6. Contribute as an active member to local and regional hotelier or tourism forums.
7. Demonstrate a full understanding and awareness of all hotel policies and procedures.
Key Requirements
1. Proactive sales management experience, delivering results across multiple segments.
2. Experience of working in a sales role within an independent white-label environment.
3. Strong customer relationship management skills and ability to negotiate.
4. Knowledge of revenue management, wish want walk process, account management, profitability, RFP, and systems.
5. Strong organisational, effective decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to build business cases to gain acceptance to unsolicited programmes where appropriate to the business.
7. Ability to develop, implement and support successful sales and marketing strategies.
8. Research competitors’ sales strategies to identify growth opportunities in TRevPAR.
9. Suggest innovative sales ideas and proactively develop them to grow share.
10. Work closely with the central and hotel revenue and marketing teams.
You Have
1. Considerable practical working experience in a sales role in a hotel environment or related industry.
2. An understanding of key social media platforms to attract various target audiences.
3. Previous experience in Guestline, Salesforce, and STR is preferable; however, training is provided.
4. Sound knowledge of online and offline sales research techniques.
