Engineering - Graduate Program (ideally 2024 or 2025 Graduate), Portsmouth: This is not just a small job in a little team in one part of the business - this is a Graduate Program where you will be encouraged to spend a couple of years working across a number of teams, through rotational placements, learning workshops, and close mentorship. This two-year programme is designed to provide you with access to a wealth of industry knowledge, applied practical experiences, and the opportunity to shape your skills as a freshly qualified engineer.

Program Description: The programme is designed to last two years, with four modules per year. The modules will cover four areas:
1. Software Design & Test
2. Commissioning
3. Control Panel Design & Building
4. Commercial/Project Management
Over Two Years You Will:
1. Learn current software standards, methods, and practices.
2. Engage with and understand project delivery timelines and budgets, ensuring these factors are carefully considered as you develop your skills in delivering industrial control system projects.
3. Learn to prepare and review control system design, build and testing specifications, and O&M manuals to required standards.
4. Learn to develop key areas of control system software to meet the needs of the project.
5. Learn to design and test in accordance with agreed specifications, applicable standards, and legislative requirements.
6. Learn onsite commissioning and testing of control systems while adhering to site regulations.
7. Complete practical assignments and projects to apply learned skills.
You will ultimately be controlling factories, writing software that controls processes. Please Note: In all modules, time may be spent on customer sites and therefore, flexibility to travel is essential.
Profile: Ideally, you will be graduating in summer 2025, although applications from 2024 Graduates (or equivalent) will be considered. You should have:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. An interest in control systems and automation.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
4. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
5. PLC programming experience in any brand is highly advantageous.
Additionally, you need to be available for a face-to-face interview/Grad Recruitment day - End February. You will ideally be available to commence in September 2025 and live close to Portsmouth or be happy to relocate. All respondents to this position must be eligible to live and work in the UK for a minimum of five years without the need for sponsorship.
Job Offer: A salary of circa £29,000 - £31,000 plus membership of a Graduate Program where you will be encouraged to spend a couple of years working across a number of teams, through rotational placements, learning workshops, and close mentorship.
