Your new role
* Monitor and review the stock valuation to ensure accuracy and timeliness for month-end reporting, ensuring correctness in the trial balance.
* Update and maintain product data in SAP from raw materials to finished goods.
* Implement a process for reviewing bills of materials for new and existing products to ensure correct costing.
* Develop the reporting function of SAP in line with business needs, reporting KPIs and other data as system functionality is established.
* Organize and monitor stock counts, validate them, and update in SAP.
* Liaise with auditors, providing information in a timely manner - both internal and external - as required.
What you'll need to succeed
The Stock and Cost Accountant will hold a full accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA) or be nearing qualification, ideally with experience managing stock and costs in an ERP system. They will be responsible for reviewing and controlling stock data in SAP, alongside the other Cost Accountant and Finance Manager, ensuring product costs and sales margins are accurate and up to date, with data flowing correctly to the general ledger. They will also be a point of contact for SAP issues and will control all system data.
