Finance Assistant - £25,000 + Study Support & Company Benefits - Newbury, Berkshire (5 days in the office)
FryerMiles is partnering with a leading business based in Newbury, Berkshire, to recruit a Finance Assistant as the organisation continues to experience strong growth. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working in a large team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of finance transactions as well as supporting with month end.
The duties of the Finance Assistant include:
1. Managing all AP queries, taking ownership of any follow-ups when required
2. Allocating customer receipts on the system on a daily basis
3. Following up with customers for payment on overdue invoices
4. Processing customer remittances
5. Processing customer application forms
6. Reviewing & releasing orders on credit hold, following relevant checks
7. Getting approval on supplier invoices & processing on the system in a timely manner
8. Reconciling supplier accounts back to statements
9. Getting quotes from suppliers when necessary
10. Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
11. Involvement with month-end close
12. Other ad hoc duties when required
The successful Finance Assistant will:
13. Finance & Accountancy Degree or similar
14. Proactive, detailed-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
15. Excel skills (V-look-up, Pivots) Macros would be a nice to have.
16. Excellent communicator, willing to build strong working relationships within the business
