An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing property company at the early stages of its development. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Asset Manager to work directly with a high-net-worth individual as they begin building a diversified property portfolio in Birmingham.
As the Senior Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a range of real estate assets, ensuring strategic growth, optimal performance, and long-term value. Your role will involve a hands-on approach to developing, managing, and growing the portfolio, with a particular focus on commercial and residential properties. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and external advisors to implement asset strategies that align with the client's investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a growing portfolio of commercial assets.
Develop and execute asset management strategies, ensuring optimal performance and growth.
Conduct detailed market analysis and identify opportunities for acquisitions, disposals, and leasing.
Collaborate with property managers, legal teams, and external consultants.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and tenants.
Monitor and report on financial performance, providing recommendations for operational improvements.
Lead negotiations for lease agreements, renewals, and disposals.
Provide guidance and leadership to junior asset management staff. Key Requirements:
Proven experience in asset management, particularly within real estate (commercial and residential).
Strong understanding of property markets, particularly in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
In-depth knowledge of lease agreements, property law, and market trends.
A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage relationships.
Experience working in a client-facing role, ideally with high-net-worth individuals or institutional investors. Desirable:
Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.
