Project Manager - Civils / Infrastructure

We are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience on Highways, Structures, Street works and General Civils to join the Civils Division of a multi-faceted regional contractor on projects in Yorkshire across the M62 corridor.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY
The Project Manager will ensure all safety, technical and commercial objectives are met initially focusing on projects including public realm, 278 schemes, cycle ways and road re-alignments.
The Project Manager will be accountable for, but not limited to:
1. Leading a team of internal staff and a team of external specialist subcontractors
2. Developing and delivering a portfolio of highway and structures projects
3. Managing site staff performance
4. Providing health and safety leadership to the operational delivery teams
5. Complying with all relevant HSE legislation
6. Supporting as required the estimating and planning process for the project
7. Ensuring sufficient and competent resources are in place for the delivery of the project and project objectives are communicated
8. Developing and maintaining programmes through the project life cycle and ensuring works are delivered against the contract programme
9. Leading the project risk management process and ensuring effective controls are established to support delivery of the project
10. Ensuring project opportunities are identified and realised to maintain and improve the commercial project performance
11. Promoting and maintaining effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance company reputation leading to repeat business
12. Upholding the core company values and inspiring and encouraging the same throughout the team
13. Ensuring that all mandatory reporting of KPI's, Near Misses, accidents and incidents are carried out as per AGC and Client procedures
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a candidate with previous Project Management experience within an operational environment who possesses the following skills/experience:
1. Relevant Civil Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience.
2. NEC Contract management experience is desirable.
3. High level of commercial acumen and confident communication skills.
