Electrical Project Manager - London
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their team.
Ideally, you will have a background in design and build projects and be comfortable managing multiple contracts simultaneously. Experience working for a direct competitor would be highly desirable, as it suggests you're already accustomed to the fast-paced environment we operate in.
About Client
They are a well-established electrical contractor with offices in London and Essex, specialising in commercial office fit-outs ranging from £5k to £2m. Projects are spread across London, with most clients located within the M25.
The successful applicant must be within a commutable distance to Liverpool Street Station, as regular site visits and meetings are required. They do, however, offer flexible working, including the option to work from home or one of the office locations.
Role Overview
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team, supporting the tendering, estimating, and delivery of electrical building services projects.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing multiple design and build projects within the commercial sector.
2. Overseeing both main contracts and smaller concurrent contracts.
3. Supervising and coordinating with subcontractors.
4. Managing budgets, procurement, and purchasing, with support from the in-house procurement team.
5. Handling cost control and P&L reporting throughout the lifecycle of each project.
6. Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety policies and compliance with client documentation standards.
7. Producing and updating CVIs, RFIs, and final O&M manuals.
8. Attending site visits, surveys, and project meetings.
Candidate Requirements
They're looking for someone who is:
1. Technically strong, with a solid foundation in electrical engineering.
2. Experienced in managing multiple projects of varying sizes.
3. Skilled in client communication and able to liaise confidently with Contracts Managers.
4. Organised, professional, and confident with excellent communication skills.
5. Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Familiar with estimating and design (preferred but not essential).

1. Salary: Open to negotiation (freelance preferred, but permanent considered)
2. Working Hours: 8am - 5pm
3. Contract Type: Flexible - freelance or permanent
