Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to develop an Account specific Sustainability function ahead of the "go live" date next Autumn for a major central Government customer
We will provide a number of Facilities services including Engineering, Cleaning and Sustainability, across the client's complete UK estate
This role as Sustainability Manager will lead a small team of sustainability professionals to drive forward sustainability commitments for a newly acquired customer. The role will be embedded into the account, leading our customer to achieve their ambitious sustainability goals across a sizeable estate throughout England, Scotland and Wales, while also ensuring delivering of sustainability milestones within the account.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key mobilisation and transition plans relating to sustainability, ahead of ‘Go Live’ in Oct25 upon which their responsibilities and focus will move to deliver
Actions will include:
* Work with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System including core documents (Sustainability Improvement plan, carbon reduction plan, biodiversity net gain).
* Design reporting and assurance processes around sustainability, including supporting other departments with their objectives.
* Work with the wider Operations Performance team to develop site environmental risk and priorities – collate site data and undertake site visits as required.
* Support in developing training material and assist in delivery of eLearning / Webinars associated with sustainability contract procedures.
* Meeting and Network groups – support action management.
* Ensure training material is up to date and available.
* Develop long term trusted relationships across ISS, customer and other stakeholders.
* Recruitment of other new roles required for the delivery of the sustainability contract
* Work with the ISS transition team to achieve critical milestones relating to sustainability through the mobilisation period
We need from you:
* Degree qualified in a relevant scientific, engineering or energy/environmental discipline.
* Membership of a recognised professional institute or equivalent, with Chartered status an advantage
