Location: Linford Wood Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term (Maternity Leave Cover) Start Date: Ideally start of Feb so there can be time for handover period About the Role: Quality Personnel is currently seeking a Purchasing Administrator for our client on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of service and support within the purchasing function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to quickly integrate into an established team, while also contributing to process improvement and supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities: Daily review of buyer workbench using the ERP system Raising, maintaining, and expediting Purchase Orders (stock and non-stock) Preparing pricing quotes for various departments (design, sales, intercompany, and incoming freight) Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships Managing part parameters, stocking levels, and price lists on ERP system Mitigating and notifying cost increases Creating part numbers as needed Preparing and reviewing supplier KPIs to improve delivery performance and stock availability Reviewing and maintaining departmental training resources Key Performance Criteria: Meeting and adhering to set KPIs and performance targets. What We Are Looking For: Experience: Previous experience in purchasing administration or a similar role. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (Epicor is an advantage). Qualification: Aspiring to study CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply). Knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering drawings is an advantage. Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills. Proactive with a "can-do" attitude. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment.
