Position Summary
To lead with the Director & Senior PM of Nuclear Specialist Projects in the delivery and achievement of the Nuclear Projects business plan objectives.
To ensure compliance with Company & HPC policy, standards and procedures, maintaining a process of Continual Improvement and achieving Customer satisfaction. To support the deployment of Company Initiatives, ensuring a consistent and effective approach and engendering a positive attitude towards Quality and delivery of world class Quality performance.
Main Responsibilities
* Management Systems: Support the implementation of Altrad Quality Management Systems and Quality planning processes
* Active Monitoring: Develop local strategies and methodologies consistent with Company & HPC Policy and procedures, which identify non-application of such and engender positive Quality attitudes and improve Quality performance within the Business Unit.
* Performance Reporting: Ensure that Quality reporting and investigation processes are implemented and that and Quality Improvement Observation reporting is maintained
Main Accountabilities
* Implementation: Deliver, with line management, our Quality Planning and implementation strategies consistent with Company policies and business plan objectives in achieving Customer valid expectations.
* Standards and Expectations: To positively encourage and promote company values and quality conscious attitudes in all employees and service providers and all times
* Competence: Ensure competent and adequate Quality functional and operational resource to support the Business Unit delivery
* Challenge: To challenge at all times any negative Quality Behaviours and Conditions, by any person, observed or reported
Key Responsibilities:
* Applying robust Quality Management practices across Nuclear Projects, including active monitoring of the same, consistent with the Company operating model and Company values
* Development of QA systems & documentations applicable to HPC Specialist Projects
* Development of a robust and highly skilled Quality team
* Development of a Quality continuous improvement plan and KPI dashboard to provide a structured development programme
* Identifying Error Traps within project delivery and implementing Error Prevention Tools to reduce instances of predictable error
* Proactive client interactions and development of relationships at senior levels within the client community
* Development of robust quality related investigation and reporting capability
* Develop plans, processes and systems to eliminate error and rework across all disciplines within nuclear EPC projects.
* Providing responsive and competent advice to the Project Management team in support of the quality deliverables
* Proactively monitoring project quality performance data detecting and acting on adverse trends
* Coordinating non-conformance and management, proactively facilitating close-out and addressing root cause through corrective and preventive actions
* Facilitating the application of the quality management system and Customer quality arrangements
* Influencing quality strategy through interaction during Proposal, Engineering, Procurement, Purchasing, Construction and Commissioning phases
* Identifying risks to successful execution and delivery and ensure risks are captured and mitigated through the project risk register
* Ensuring effective and compliant Quality input to Proposals and Tenders prepared by the Business
* Developing Quality implementation strategies that are consistent with Company & HPC policies in achieving Customer expectations
* Facilitating Monitoring, Measurement and Analysis of Quality performance and closed loop reporting across the Nuclear Projects business
* Engendering Nuclear Professionalism and Human Performance culture that is that is a prerequisite within the progressive Nuclear sector.
* Promoting the Company operating model and values through effective, leadership, clear communication and application by the accountable managers and supervisors with support from other functions as appropriate
* Being visible in the eyes of the regulators not least the Office of Nuclear Regulation (ONR)
Qualifications:
* Degree in Quality Management or equivalent
* Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (MCQI)
* ISO9001: Internal Auditor
