This position typically manages the site quality program on a large project or may be assigned to one of the Operation Centers. The purpose of this position is to perform the essential job duties and functions listed below with the overall objective of providing our clients and Fluor with projects that comply with the quality requirements stipulated in our prime contracts. • Provide interpretation of multi-discipline engineering and quality requirements; give technical guidance to site Quality personnel for inspection, testing and quality services activities • Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training, development opportunities, and timely performance feedback • Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations • Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action • Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines • Other duties as assigned• Accredited ) degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study plus work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• Quality assurance/quality control work experience with at experience in supervision or management experience • Ability to act as a lead auditor to plan, perform and report quality audits of a variety of construction activities • Ability to perform physical inspection of a variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to welding, piping, civil, concrete, buildings, fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non-destructive testing • Certification as a lead auditor by an internationally recognized agency or internal Fluor program • Intermediate or expert computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations • Previous international experience for assignments away from home country • Personnel who will be performing welding examinations, inspections and/or reviewing of radiographs must be capable of taking and passing Fluor’s internal certifications for visual examiners/inspectors and radiographic interpreters
