The school are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Head of Department for Electrical installations. Job Role: In this role as the Assistant Head of Department for Electrical Installations, your responsibilities will include assisting the Head of Department in overseeing and enhancing the curriculum for Study Programmes, Apprenticeships, and adult courses. You will also manage staff and resources within the Electrical area across both our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campuses. Furthermore, you will contribute to improving student outcomes by upholding high performance standards, tracking progress, monitoring results, and motivating both staff and students. Qualifications (Essential to applying for this role) Must hold Level 5 or above teaching qualification such as DET, DTLLS or Cert Ed / PGCE A Full level 3 NVQ Construction qualification relating to the curriculum area. Must hold or working towards IQA Award or equivalent. Extensive relevant experience working in an education/training provider. Recent teaching experience in the relevant curriculum area Evidence of professional updating & development Attendance at weekend open days Attendance at marketing, recruitment and other academy events during the academic year Ability to work across multiple campuses Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate relevant industry skills. Detailed knowledge of relevant Awarding Body requirements. Current Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the role. Good interpersonal, administrative and communication skills Organised and able to meet deadlines. Competent use of Microsoft Office and other software packages required to perform the role.
