We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Spa
Therapist / Massage Therapist to join the team at No.1
York by GuestHouse on a 32 hour per week contract.
Your responsibilities as a Spa Therapist will include
providing bespoke Spa treatments to the highest standard (a love for massage,
facials and holistic therapies will be an advantage as we do not provide beauty
treatments), alongside greeting and looking after our guests, and keeping
the Spa tidy.
Our treatment menu is designed to avoid therapist
burn-out, with full body massages limited to no more than three per day,
15-minutes turn-around time and a free lunch every day!
This would be a lovely position for the right person,
GuestHouse prides itself on not running "conveyor-belt" spas,
focusing on treatments beyond “one-size-fits-all”. We know our therapists
love what they do and are passionate about creating memorable experiences for
each and every guest they treat, so we want to provide them the environment to
do so. Our treatments go beyond routines designed by product houses that are
focused on retail; we instead focus on the holistic needs of our guests;
creating a unique environment for you to grow and develop as a therapist.
This would be a lovely position for the right person. If
you are passionate about wellness and looking to join a close-knit team who
love what they do, then we would love to hear from you!
We are looking for a Spa Therapist who:
- Is qualified to
a minimum Level 3 Diploma in Spa Therapies and Massage (or similar).
- Further
qualifications in Deep Tissue, Reflexology and Pregnancy Massage would also be
desirable.
- Has at least 1
years’ experience working within a Spa environment.
- Has good
administrative skills – such as answering emails/phone-calls
- Has excellent
interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Has a positive
"can-do" attitude with a warm and friendly personality.
- Has the ability
to use own initiative and utilise time management skills.
- Who is available
to work daytimes, evenings and weekends.
At GuestHouse we say we’re a family of happy hotels, full
of wonder, in Britain’s most intriguing cities because we mean it. We’re
literally a family, three brothers in fact – Tristan, James and Tom – creating
the kind of hotels our families and friends want to stay in. Luxury, but not
stuffy. Different, but not show off. And above all, happy. We know that to make
guests happy we need you, our teams, to be happy at work, empowered to make
decisions, and genuinely feel like part of the family, not just someone doing a
job. Our staff are part of our family, and we always look for team members that
fit in with our core values and culture.
