Job Title: Structural Engineer Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum Location: Norwich About the Company We are working with a leading provider of construction consulting services with a comprehensive background in Structural and Civil Engineering. With a proven record of delivering engineering services to many of the top national house builders, retail developers, and public authorities, this consultancy offers expertise in structural and civil engineering, feasibility studies, building information modelling (BIM), engineering masterplanning, flood management, infrastructure design, pre-development engineering, and transportation & highways. Operating across sectors such as retail, data centres, logistics, residential, and energy, the company is renowned for its commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions tailored to meet client needs. The Structural Engineer Will: Design structural solutions using a variety of materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, ensuring efficiency and sustainability. Manage projects from conception to completion, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to provide integrated and innovative design solutions. Assist in mentoring junior team members, fostering professional growth, and maintaining high technical standards within the team. Conduct reviews of designs and calculations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial developments. Strong knowledge of structural design across various materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) and proficiency in industry-standard software. Actively working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE, or already chartered, demonstrating commitment to professional excellence. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to clients, architects, and contractors. A proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
