HSSE Supervisor
Role: HSE focal point for all project related Health, Safety & Environmental activities.
Reporting to: Project HSE Manager
Responsibilities.
• Liaise with HSE Manager/ Project Manager /Construction Managers to ensure HSSE attendance at key project meetings.
• Liaise regularly with client HSE Representatives and satisfy HSE requirements.
• Support the HSSE Manager/ Project Manager / Construction Managers with appropriate incident investigation keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers.
• Actively support and input to the site PTW system.
• Actively support the site access control system and personal accountancy control on site.
• Keep records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.
• Managing Corrective & Preventative Actions to effective closure and monitoring thereafter.
• Driving HSSE excellence throughout the project to provide a safe and HSSE compliant workplace. • Undertake worksite inspections at the worksite and provide feedback on observations. • Attend daily shift briefings and monitor their effectiveness.
• Actively support the online induction process.
• Carry out on site inductions if required.
• Carry out internal HSE training as required.
• Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, in liaison with clients to ensure root causes are identified and lessons learnt are shared to improve HSSE performance.
• Assist and advise Project Managers and Supervisors in the production of risk assessments.
• Support in the review of all necessary Method Statements and Risk Assessments associated with the entire work scopes ensuring all activities have been risk assessed.
• Actively encourage the project workforce to become involved in the project safety culture and health and safety initiatives. Europlan SEI STA Project Project HSSE Advisor Page 1 of 2 HSSE
• Understand and promote Europlan and SEI HSSE culture throughout all phases of the modification scope, setting a positive personal example
. • Promoting the culture of personal accountability, where safe behaviors are reinforced and unsafe challenged.
• Assist in the development of an environment where personnel are empowered to stop any work that they perceive to be unsafe.
PLANNING AND REPORTING
• Support processes to improve proactive reporting and analysis.
• Monitor and report on project performance on site against Europlan and SEI KPIs and Project HSSE KPIs.
• Report all incidents and near misses and all action taken.
• Monitor and report on project performance on site against Project HSE KPIs.
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Recognized H&S qualification (NEBOSH/BSC/RoSPA/SVQ) – minimum NEBOSH Certificate / S/NVQ level 3
• Formal training in Environmental Management preferred. • Industry experience with trade background preferred.
• Experience of developing and implementing HSE management systems.
• Full conversant on developing risk assessments (General / COSHH / Fire / Unplanned Events). • Good interpersonal skills
• Presenting and developing training / inductions
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office systems.
• Ability to produce and present reports and statistical HSE information
